1. Smoking a joint while driving into the hospital because you think you are in labor will not help with the contraction pain.
2. If you roll a joint in the hospital, you are probably well enough to be discharged.

Maybe she had no other choice, because the hospital was out of bourbon.
Good lord! Why keep the cocaine reserved for rhinoplasty, she needed something so took it into her own hands! Did the joint get rolled while the baby was in her arms? Might as well call CPS right now!
