I haven't been to one in 8 years, in spite of the annual requirement that I go to at least 1 per year. I suspect if the hospital enforced it they'd have no physicians on staff.

My hospital doubles your fee for processing privilege forms if you don't attend the minimum required!
The forms are required yearly.
They still haven't figured out that I'm not yet on a committee.
I haven't bothered to tell them.
So I just go to the department meetings for OB and surgery and the general med staff quarterlies.
Ugh.
