Mom's surgery was scheduled at 2 pm today...and she was wheeled back at 2:10. She's still in the OR, which is one long fricken time. Hope the surgeon has a foley in him! ;)
DH is up in Michigan, texting me updates. Last one was about an hour ago.
At least this call night is being kind to me...(tempting the call gods, but, oh,well).

I'm sorry your Mom is still in surgery, but I am so glad that she is finally IN surgery! After the reschedules and cancellations, I thought she might not get in until the New Year.

When my wife was in labor with Frank, I was on call at the same hospital. So I spent the night in her room, occasionally leaving to go do a consult somewhere else in the building, then coming back.
Hope it went well.
